The song we sang at T-I-M meeting is beautiful! It is now on replay in my iTunes. :]

Last night, when I returned home from the meeting, I was delighted to find a letter nicely placed on my study desk. The sender was the Japanese school. I knew the white envelope contained my result for the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test that I took last December.

The instructions and score report were computed in Japan. JLPT is similar to Cambridge Examinations, the marking of answer booklets was carried out in Japan. Thereby after, they will compute the results and then send them back here.

I carefully flipped through the three slips of paper for the instructions and JLPT result. With my heart beating fast, I glanced through the score for each sections, and there - at one corner, reflects the overall grade for the test: Passed.

Elated and grateful. (Y)

A birthday marks the first day of another 365-day journey around the sun.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone and especially to the following groups of people who had contributed to the great success of the celebration on Saturday. :)

MUM:
Without her initiating this celebration, I don't think I would celebrate my 21st with so many people at one go. Would most probably just head out for a simple dinner with my family. All this while, she had been under quite a lot of pressure in order to make this event a successful one. From finding a suitable venue to the selection of gifts. Am really apologetic for not helping much. She seemed even more nervous than I did.

DAD:
Although he did not seem much involved during the preparation, he was indeed, as nervous as I did for the event. Haha, Dad. He would thought of the attire to wear on the actual day. And guess what? Did anyone of you notice the "21" decoration on the reception table? Yes, my dad made it. It is a "2" that resembles a swan, and a "1" that is shaped like a key. Awwwww~

BROTHER:
Accompanied with his buddy, YUAN SHENG, they captured meaningful scenes of the celebration on the camera and ENG HUA's camcorder. My younger brother also made the first video that was played before the event commenced, of which lasted for 11 minutes.

ENG HUA & WIFE:
They gave me a big surprise some hours before the celebration. Although not able to attend, Eng Hua's wife self-made a Barbie Doll agar-agar for the event. Coupled with the one-and-only birthday cake, they attracted the guests' attention with their beautiful combination. :)

ELMO:
Emcee of the event. He was also the one in-charged of the stage decorations and coming up with the event agenda. Overwhelmed with creative ideas, he ruled the stage with his jokes and came out with the impromptu prank on the birthday girl. LOL.

NICHOLAS:
Official photographer of the event. Without him, we would not have so many awesome pictures, capturing so many happy faces who turned up for the celebration. Nicholas was also the editor for the second video (the one with friends' wishes). Gotta agree that it was a job well done.

GUEST PERFORMERS:
Really appreciate the time and effort put in by JING YUAN, ZHI YIN, MING YUAN, and 敏儿. Their performances that night were really inspiring.
Jing Yuan and Zhi Yin met up to practice the dance despite their hectic work and studies. Jing Yuan even put up a meaningful song, Christine Fan's 「一個像夏天一個像秋天」, accompanied with touching pictures-slides. One of the guests told me she almost cried looking at the pictures that features our secondary school moments. :')
Mingyuan also spent time cracking his brain to settle on songs for the event. He finally decided to play Jay Chou's 「Dandelion's Promise」 and David Cook's 「Always Be My Baby」, which are two beautiful guitar pieces. Coincidentally, these are two of my favourite songs when they were first released in the music industry. In addition, his speech even motivated me to update my blog as and when I'm free.
敏儿, the queen of singing. With a strong vocal and background in singing, she chose the song to perform only when she reached the event venue. Thumbs-up for her. Some guests, even my mum, requested an encore from her!

LYSS COMRADES:
It has been long since we last met up. Am really glad they turned up for my 21st. The time we had spent together in secondary school was an important chapter in my life. Despite challenges and obstacles one after another, we held on and grew even closer. They were also the ones who stood by me when I first encountered the astonishing news of a friend's death one week before 'O' levels. That was indeed a turning point in my life.

TPJC COMRADES:
My clique and juniors, they came that night despite rushing from their last appointment. Really appreciate it. Reminiscing our college days when we had playful, stressful, and joyful times together. And REGINIA, we recalled those crazy times when our CCA practices ended late at 9pm, and how we overcame those tough rehearsals for many school/public performances and national competition through our funny thoughts that we could imagine ourselves to be. During the casual photo-taking session after the celebration, I asked her jokingly, "Why are you wearing heels? Thought I can be taller than you on this special day.... But you are still taller!! Tsk!" Her reply? "SINCE WHEN I'M NOT??"
Totally LOL-ed by her random yet truthful comment.

LI YUN, HIROMI SENSEI & RYOUKO SENSEI （ひろみ先生　と　涼子先生）:
I came to know LI YUN when we first attended the Japanese class together with WAN CHIN. Coincidentally, she is also Wan Chin's secondary school friend whom they were not close back then. We have become close friend since the first Japanese class last year. We had dinner together before class, revised together for Japanese examinations, took JLPT together, and even joked together with Wan Chin during our train journey back home after class. They usually eliminate my tiredness after class with their funny comments and jokes, yet make me feel lethargic after the laughter. ^^ And I'm really grateful that both my Japanese teachers were able to turn up for the event. HIROMI SENSEI used to be our teacher for the Beginner and Intermediate classes last year, and RYOUKO SENSEI is our current teacher for the Advanced First Year classes. I really benefit from their lessons and they make me feel even closer to my dream and mentor-in-life. These two teachers turn out to be best friends. :)

I had, indeed, a wonderful and memorable 21st birthday celebration that I will always remember in my heart. Because I have such great comrades who made it happened! ;)

Love Catching-up Session(s)

Met up with Hui Jen on Friday night after work. That was the first meet-up with just the two of us since the day she left the company. Hahaha we still love to bicker with each other and we actually enjoy doing it AND we will continue to do just that. LOL.

The interesting thing was that I left the office late and hence was late for the meet-up. While on my way to meet HJ, we discussed over WhatsApp as to where to meet and what to eat for dinner since we were really hungry. Right after I alighted, I rushed to the meeting point without even realizing that I actually walked passed HJ. She couldn't recognize me as well due to my new hairdo. So how did we finally meet? HJ called me, only to realize that she was walking next to me.

Thereby after, we continued strolling in search of a place for dinner. Somehow, we two blur ladies got lost in the building - but we still managed to find a simple place for a simple dinner. We then talked about our past experiences and current happenings over a coffee-and-milo session at a nearby cafeteria. We sat there for quite some time until the cafeteria personnel chased us out as it was time for them to leave work. Guess what, we did not even take a picture together and we both headed home (!) -.-

Side-track & joke of the day: Was out with family just now. I was walking next to my brother. Suddenly, a wedding planner approached my brother. Thinking we are couple, he actually handed him a wedding brochure to Taiwan! That was not enough, mum was just walking right behind us and witnessed the entire process. I think the wedding planner was embarrassed by his mistake when he realized we are siblings. My parents and us just laughed out loud. Oh well, this is how close my brother and I are! ^^

First Day of School

New school bag. New workbook. New file.

Today is the first day of school (tuition) for Saturday kids. Parents and grandparents accompanied their princes and princesses to the language centre today. Loud cries could be heard mainly from the nursery and kindergarten children. A (little) change in the environment leads to their fear of insecurity. Some parents had no choice but to stay throughout the two hours plus lesson.

Later at night, headed to goong to celebrate Park's 21st birthday. The last time we met up like tonight was one year ago. And we were celebrating her 20th birthday outside. Time passes. Each of us embark on our different journey, yet nothing changes since graduation from college. It was more of a catching up session tonight. We talked about our current situation and plans for the future. We enjoyed the company and laughed to our heart's content. :-)

Was browsing through the courses offered at Soka University of Japan once again. Then Misako Hirade
（平出美佐子）, also known as "Lah" among her SUJ friends, initiated a chat on Facebook! Elated to hear from her since we only communicate through emails all the while and not via Facebook.

Lah will be completing her studies in Shanghai University and will return back to Japan on 25th January. She's picking up English and Chinese, while I'm strengthening my Japanese. Hence we do not have much language barrier while conversing with each other. We have just exchanged our mailing address(es), most probably gonna stay connected through postcards and letters too! I'm sure Sensei will be happy to know that his youthful disciples forge strong bonds despite coming from different country!

Honestly, after hearing from Lah, she has really encouraged me to follow the path I have chosen. And I feel even more motivated to strengthen my Japanese. Have been practicing my writing by sending letters in Japanese to a WD leader who is also a Japanese and married to Singapore. Although not very professional, I'm learning each time! :) Now I have got to work on the victory report to Sensei for my district and myself, as well as doing the Chinese-Japanese translation for my mum's district report.

Passed the Intermediate Japanese final examinations. Will be starting the Advanced Japanese First Year course next Monday. The result for the JLPT N5 exam will be out this March. 2012 - it will be another year of greater improvement and advancement in terms of personal growth, family, district, work and studies.

How was X'mas? I actually spent the day at home. My initial plan was to do some spring cleaning for the walk-in wardrobe. However, nothing was done due to diarrhoea, bad cold, and medication.. ㅠㅠ

Street lighting and decorations along the road seemed so beautiful and soft before X'mas. After 25th December, they seem kind of dull.

Caught a cold these few days because of the rainy season. Mum woke up early this morning to make 汤圆. She even packed some for me to bring to work. I had it before lunch. Felt warmth despite the cold weather and running/blocked nose. :)

It's the year end.. I need a winter holiday/getaway.

Fan Party was held yesterday. Traveled down to Indoor Stadium after JLPT that day.

We actually watched and listened to Changmin's legendary Mirotic scream LIVE. The members were being taught some facts about Singapore and they even attempted to speak in Singlish. Awesome.

In addition, the zone general meeting kick-off on the 3rd December was a great success. Representing our own district, Nicholas and I went up on stage to present our Lion King District victory to everyone.

Looking forward to see greater growth in 2012!

T/N: This blog entry took me some weeks to tidy up.

It has been about five months since my last entry in June before I went into a blog-hiatus unknowingly. I was not prepared to share my experiences yet. We are driven by the same common goal that is to inspire and create hope.

Last year towards A's, I'd always thought I was doing fine, yet deep down I knew I wasn't. I put up a strong front because I didn't want my parents to worry. I'd sleepless nights and would cry silently into the wee hours of the night under the blanket. During those days, I'd one-to-one dialogues that usually lasted after midnight with my mum. Despite the fact that I tried hard enough to control, I still teared in-front of my mum. Although I got better each time, that didn't last.

A few weeks before A's, I'd a consultation session with my geography tutor. I could have took her criticism as a constructive advice but I broke down. Only then did I realised I was actually escaping from the harsh reality and hence landed myself in a state of depression.

I chanted with a clear goal in mind: I must win, not just for myself but also for Sensei, to show actual proof and not letting my parents down. Slowly, I regained my self-confidence and advance ahead.

After A's, I devoted my time and entire being to my district. I knew I gonna be the first to stand up and take action. Honestly, I'd never felt that strong the energy to contribute to my district until graduation from college.

On the results day, my life condition was so high that despite the bad grades for entrance into a local university, I did not shed a tear. The biggest reason is that I knew I have a greater mission to fulfill. I clearly remember the next day was my chapter youth outing. Coincidentally, I lost my voice that day. During the bus journey, one of my members cried as she failed her GP. Because I was unable to speak, I wrote on a piece of paper (and passed to my member), strictly penning down my grades for A's and these words: "Look! I didn't cry despite such grades! You shouldn't cry as well!"

Soon then, this member wiped her tears and smiled. At that moment, I came to my realisation that because of my grades, I was able to encourage my members. This member is doing great right now in a private university. Another actual proof is that I wrote only two pages for my General Paper Paper One and didn't manage to complete the AQ segment for Paper Two, yet I scored a C-grade for my GP! I would say that was the best grade I could ever get for the particular subject. Because of this, my younger brother praised me for doing a good job. FYI, my brother seldom praised me.

At the beginning of this year, I took up Japanese course at JCS. Some were curious with my decision and find it was rather redundant to take up a language course. However, language is something you will find important when you really need it. I did not take their comments into heart because from the very first day I started on the course, I knew I have already taken the first step to advancing worldwide kosen-rufu. It is true that when one put his/her heart into achieving the bigger mission, he/she has nothing to fear as he/she is walking the great path of mentor-and-disciple spirit.

I completed my Elementary Japanese course within half a year and passed with flying colours. Currently, I'm completing the Intermediate course. Final examinations will commence this week and JLPT will be in early December. As I look back, I expressed in awe on how much I have advanced on this great path.

Currently, I'm working as a secretary on weekdays, a teacher on weekends, and a student at night. I do not regret and held on to these three duties because they were all offered to me under great opportunities. At times, there are people who discouraged me by saying hurting words like "Do you love money that much?". I replied sternly that this is not about money that matters, it's that I am able to grow through the trainings and interviews I have undergo and obstacles as well as weaknesses I have courageously overcome. The fact is that I have shown actual proof along the way. Some asked if I am tired, and my reply will always be, "I may be physically tired, but definitely not mentally." There are also people who looked down on me and believe I will give up in time to come. Despite all these obstacles, I still go back to the prime point of my faith and reflect on myself each time.

Every day is like a brand new challenge for me and each time, I get to learn something great. Don't really have the time to dwell on my mistakes for long. Hence I could only move on and remind myself to be better each day. I have a greater vision for the future and that is advancing worldwide kosen-rufu together with my comrades outside of Singapore. This has since then been my constant motivation that propels and keeps me moving forward.

How do y'all pick out your favourite song?

Melody and vocal, will first get my attention. Then I will have the tendency to put the song(s) on Replay; then hum the music along the way; then start paying attention to the lyrics and the singer's emotions when he/she/they sing(s) the song. End result? The melody and lyrics will just ring in my head subsequently.

Kpop was not a "In" thing in the past. When we were younger, the first Jpop song my brother and I like was "Lion Heart" by Smap - thanks to the Japanese drama, "Food Fight". I seldom talk about K/Jpop openly with my friends and family. However, I started a broad discussion on this topic recently. We agreed that the Kpop industry is skilful in knowing what best suits their respective artistes and presenting them to the audience.

Till today, the Kpop music industry continues to expand and hence broadening the fan-base (ranging from youngsters to the 40s and 50s). When these Kpop artistes have gained a certain level of popularity in their home country, their company, being far-sighted enough, sees the golden opportunities on the international stage. Hence the artistes undergo training in foreign language(s), prepare for their comeback, so on and so forth..... Today, Kpop is not just a "In" thing in Asia, but also in the western countries. Besides their main language, these Korean stars have also produced albums in Japanese, English, Mandarin and etc. Some even participate in dramas, host a show, model for a brand..

Super Junior SHINee SNSD BoA 2NE1 B2ST 2AM 2PM Mblaq (and the list goes on)..
Gonna agree that Kpop has created an impression for the younger ones who have this thinking that being a singer is very much smooth sailing and life would be good.

Nevertheless, TVXQ was not on the Kpop trend. They come together as a 5ive male members group with different backgrounds. Back then when Kpop was not popular, they are the ones who had been through the most trying times and (including BoA) they are the pioneers who'd paved out the way for the Kpop industry to achieve today's result. Respectable and humble figures, if I'd to describe them in the music industry.

Here are the two latest albums produced in Korean and Japanese since their separation:

For JYJ's 「인 헤븐」 album, I like, not in any particular, Jae's vocal. I'm moved by the fact that he is able to express his emotions really well through singing the respective song from low to high note. In addition, HoMin expressed their gratitude towards Cassiopeia &/or Big East through the song lyrics in 東方神起's 「TONE」 album. The lyrics of each song blend well with the theme of the album. Leader Jung has also improved in his vocal this time round. This improvement can be heard through the smoothing songs in their latest album.

Has any one of you come across any particular song that makes you cry without a reason, or one that keeps you so addicted to it that you have to keep playing and listening to it?

Previously while I was away from blogging, I was addicted to T-Blue's 「Trust Me」, as well as 「별처럼 (Like A Star)」 by Taeyeon (SNSD) and The One. The harmony of the 3 members is good for the former, as well as the duet is superb for the latter. These songs (can be found in the music playlist on my blog) in which they sang, clearly brings out the singers' fantastic voices.

Just recently, I got addicted to another song, 《好的事情》 by 嚴爵 (Yen-j). I got to admit that I didn't pay much attention to this singer until he sang this new song. I love the melody to the point that I put it on REPLAY mode while traveling to work, school, and home, so much so that I can memorize the music and lyrics within two days. My brother could not stand the fact that this song is also on REPLAY even on my iTunes, and commented, "I think there is a problem with your stereo ... If not, why does it keep playing the same song over and over again??"

无业游民 NO MORE!

Mingyuan, if you happen to read this, I just wanna say a big thank you! =)

Accepted the requests from firms to view my full resume as well as submitted it many times online, yet I did not receive any interview notifications from these companies (despite the fact that I meet their job requirements). During those times, I actually hoped that my mobile will ring, displaying an incoming unknown call number. Yes, there were two firms but every time they called, it was either as missed calls or I did not switch on my phone. And when I returned call, it was always listed as "User Busy". However, I never give up. I deeply remembered what Mingyuan mentioned in his personal online diary with regards to his job-hunting - ".. It wasn't easy but I held on to my beads, and I kept praying....."

During one of the special prayer meetings for Japan's monstrous disaster, I came into my realisation that I should set a precise and detailed prayer. Because the last day for the donation drive was 31 March, I decided that I must be offered a full-time job by then, with a good monthly pay (not hourly one), convenient location, 5-days work, and most importantly, it must not clashed with gakkai activites and Japanese lessons at night.

29 March, noon: I had a phone-conversation with a firm. Just when I thought everything went smoothly, the person over the phone rejected me as they do not have a temporary job position for me. Actually I didn't want that job too due to inconvenient location and job-nature. Hence after the rejection through the phone, I thought to myself that probably it's a blessing in disguise, I mustn't lose hope and win in the end no matter what. That night, I donated my last S$50 note (for Japan) which I had with me.

30 March, noon: I accepted a request from a well-known company to view my full resume. I didn't think much, just thought that it's an usual thing a company would do. It also didn't appear to me whether or not I would get the job 'cause when I clicked on the company's link, it states, "No job found". Furthermore, before that I didn't receive any calls or notifications from the companies which I had earlier accepted their requests to view my full resume. I was then prepared to leave the house for NUS to submit documents. Just when I wanna leave for the door, my mobile rang.

"Hello?"
Caller: "Hi, I'm (name). We are calling from (company's name)."
"Yeah?"
Caller: "I have just received your resume. Is it okay for you to come down for an interview later in the evening ASAP?"
"Sorry, I'm not free later as I need to submit some documents in the west."
Caller: "How about coming down tomorrow morning?"
"Okay sure. No problem. Thank you."

I just thought I would gain the experience of a job interview, nothing about whether or not I would be accepted to work there. After the submission of documents at NUS, I decided to head down to Queenstown for the interview since it's near (from Buona Vista station) and I still have time before the office closes at 6pm as well as for my Japanese class. The interview wasn't like the norm. It was more of a casual dialogue about my life and travelling time from home. The firm said that they will confirm the result of my interview by next week.

31 March, noon: I actually received two missed calls and a text message from the company, stating that I have been accepted as their staff! I've already started work yesterday (1 April). It is a full-time job, good monthly pay, direct train to work, convenient to attend gakkai activities and night classes from there, office hours, and given the opportunity to work as a permanent staff if I'd a change of mind in late July. My prayer was answered! It is a job offered to me directly by the company, and a good training platform for me to become an independent learner too! ^^

This has been a long post since the last one. Sorry to bored you guys for reading this but laugh-out-loud, I actually spent three hours typing this entry (OMG). :P

Does this bring back memories of your childhood?

I remember both my brother and I used to watch many cartoons together on KidsCentral back then. We even bought DVDs and comic books of many series. Pokemon - one of our many collections. ;D Still remember that I actually teared while watching the movie episode of Pikachu's goodbye. Pokemon was the first cartoon that is able to move a 10-year-old girl to tears. Hahaha.

My brother showed me this comic one night. I decided to share it here. Both of us were moved by the little girl's limitless courage to confront obstacles.

Here in East Asia, people unite and fight together to win over the monstrous disaster. However, over in Middle East and Africa, people are fighting and killing one another. The world doesn't change, people change; our mentality changes over time.

In times of crisis, would we not do anything and wait for someone to do something? Or would we be like the little girl in the comic who stands up courageously and confront the root problem? What I'm certain of is that if we do not take action, nothing will change. Yet if we tried, at least something will happen, even if the impact is minimum.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

I couldn't sleep last night. 'cause my mind was occupied with many thoughts and worries. Worried about the safety of Ikeda Sensei, SGI/SUJ comrades, and everyone in Japan. Images of the destruction from the quake, aftershocks and tsunami flashed through my mind. ほんとうにしんぱい。

I thought that if natural disasters were to hit our tiny island, it would submerged within seconds. People would have no time to even respond. I was so worried that I almost teared. Started chanting daimoku in my heart till I fell asleep subsequently.

Feeling insecure, I sent messages and emails to all Japanese comrades after morning gongyo today, concerning over Sensei's and their safety. Fortunately, I received their responses immediately. They (including Ikeda Sensei) are all safe.

At such dark times, wealth or fame are worthless. They are being destroyed within seconds. Hope and courage are what take people further. I'm moved by Japan's calm and swift response in the face of terror of the monstrous disasters. We should stop self-pity and feeling unsatisfied about this and that, for we don't know how fortunate we actually are. There's a Chinese saying that goes, 知足常乐 - when we appreciate what we have now, we will always feel happy.

BE PREPARED. BE ALERT.

Back To School

Starting from next week onwards, Mondays and Wednesdays will be back-to-school for me.

Besides working, meetings, gatherings and other stuff, I've boldly registered myself for Japanese lessons at the Japanese Language School. They will all be night classes. When I told my dad and brother, as well as friends, their first reaction is, "Why the sudden decision?" Only my mum said, "Sure! Why not?" Haha 'cause she learned Japanese when she was younger. ;)

Actually it's NOT a sudden decision. The thought of picking up another foreign language has always been in my head since some years ago, just that I didn't carry out the plan due to schoolwork and stuff like that. In addition, the SUJ comrades from the exchange last year are also the ones who provide me the source of motivation to pick up another foreign language. Since now the almighty A'levels are over, it's time to put my plan into action. Realising learning Japanese as my mission, I've nothing to fear.

With working and schooling taking place simultaneously, it means that I will see wannchinn every week (or even daily) from day to night. MUAHAHAHA! :D

Oh side-track, should I change my blogspot to another tumblr account? But the thing is that all my blog entries in the archives since 2006 could not be transferred over (unless reblog everything again - Oh no).

We had been planning to have a get-together one day after A's. And finally we settled on Reggy's 18th and 민호's 19th birthday yesterday. Haha #happyflaMINHOday ~ Had an awesome day with Reggy and Zhing. These 2 ladies always make my day filled with laughter and joy.

After meeting them, I left for work. On my way, I met an ASD IC whom I had cooperated with her 1-2 years ago in an ASD project. Glad to hear that she will be getting married next Saturday! Time flies. Imma really happy for her. :)

A classmate of mine took a night flight to NYC after our last paper on Tuesday. He will only be back on the day before his enlistment. Another is flying off to Adelaide today and will be back during mid-December. Another classmate who is an Indonesian-Chinese will be migrating to Canada next Monday. His family members are already over there since many months ago. The fourth one will be leaving for Swiss and Paris some time in mid-December.

Texted some of my close friends to see what they have been doing since the end of 'A' levels. Some are running errands for their family, going for job interview, house cleaning, K-stars chasing (fandom), while others are just busy with -- enjoying life and getting bored at home. LOL.

I do find now that having not to study or mug daily is rather difficult to adjust to. At times, I will still ask myself if I have any assignments or tests to complete. Anyway, my schedule from next week onwards will be a busy-yet-awesome one. ^^

Ah~ 30th November~ I've long waited for this date to arrive. It was just a month but I felt as though I'd been through a lot. The last day of November 2010, felt like it took forever.

3 years in junior college, been through a lot, a lot..... Joy, tears, struggle.. It isn't just about studying, it's more of a real-life training and a milestone for the future. Right now, I can't find a word to put it nor an expression to describe how I feel.....

At least I do not have to worry about "Have I done my assignments?", "Do I have any tests tomorrow?" kind of stuff now. Realise that yesterday was the last day to wear the college uniform. Muahahaha.

Last night was my first time (after so long) sleeping without having a million and one things going through my mind. For the past few months, I had difficulty falling asleep as I would think of the who what when where how questions. P.S. My brain is usually active when I'm lying on bed at night.

After my last paper yesterday, met mum and jy before proceeding to HQ for Sensei's video. The moment Sensei appeared on the screen, I felt warmth. Then when the youth who presented Sensei the awards started crying and Sensei comforted him with a hug, tears started streaming down my cheeks - uncontrollably. I know my mum cries each time she watches Sensei's video, and myself who used to put up a strong front, always wipe away the tears secretly.

Sleepless Nights

Sometimes, I dislike dreams (while asleep) because a bad dream will make one feels mentally exhausted (especially one that feels so real) whereas a good one will keep you thinking for the entire day.

Despite the fact that I'd bad dreams for consecutive nights before yesterday, the dream last night was a good and beautiful one. (LIKE FINALLY) ^^

ㅋㅋㅋㅋ This fan-art is cute, isn't it? (:

The first scenario was a huge performance stage. I believe that was my concert. LOL. Somehow, I think, it could most possibly be, one of the rehearsals before the actual performance. And make a guess who were my 콘서트 손님 whom I would be performing with?
Leader-ssi & maknae!! :D

During the rehearsal, I was dancing to "Maximum", with YH (of course) guiding me. ^-^ Hoho we were doing that point-down/center/up steps which I like. After that, he brought me to somewhere else (don't know why) but I felt as though we went to many places. :)

Then when we returned, CM was ready on stage waiting for me to sing a chinese duet with him.
YES, it was a 中文歌曲 that hasn't been heard in the music industry. The backstage crew members were like busy helping me to wipe away my perspiration, passed me a bottle of water to drink, handed me a mic, signalled me to start rehearsing with our maknae, etc etc. Hahaha!
Side-track: So we can also 作词 and 作曲 in our dreams! If I happened to be a singer in real life, I would definitely recall hard enough that song lyrics and melody so that it could be included in my next album!

Although that was the first time I saw the lyrics (until only during the rehearsal?!), somehow I was able to catch the melody and hence sing-a-long with maknae! At this time, I think YH had quietly stepped aside and watched our rehearsal. :)

Next, a second scenario appeared. Guess who I met this time round?
JaeChunSu!! :D

We were (I think) at a gathering located in a restaurant/artistes' backstage resting room/hotel lobby/somewhere. And I really had no idea what the 3hree of 'em were doing. They did some weird, funny laughter and actions infront of me. Well, as usual..... xD

When I woke up, I felt happy and energetic - for I know that I'd a wonderful adventure that felt so real in my dream, which was totally unlike those previous nights of nightmares. =|

My very first dream of TVXQ was a scene on a beach, with table and food set for dinner while watching the sun sets. YooSu were sitting by the table and sort-of fighting for food; YunJae were walking towards the table and smiling at the brothers' silly fight; maknae CM ignored all the things that were happening, just in a world with him and the food alone (as usual). ^^

There are some more other similar dreams, one of which (that I can recall right now) - CM and I were in a high-class dining restaurant (deduced from the tuxedo CM was wearing that resembled those in his Paradise Ranch drama). I couldn't finish the food on my plate, hence at the moment when I thought "HOW? HOW? HOW?", CM came into my 'rescue'. In actual fact, he has a huge appetite. :]

This has been a rather long entry. & as I typed this post regarding having dreams at night, I thought of XinYing (aka 박유천아내). =D 하하하하~

I'd no idea of this South Korean girl-group nor their songs.... Was randomly searching for a song and this appeared on my monitor screen. & guess what - I'm lovin' this song.. ^-^

[Love Story] describes the feelings of the 2 members' group departure. It is already a very touching song, yet the members' tears on stage made it even more meaningful......

The leader was an original member of Jewelry. She stated that having to be with the group for 10 years, it was time for her to depart and fully commit to her solo career.

This would be their last (goodbye) stage performance together on 10.01.10 at Inkigayo. & I applaud 'em for such a wonderful performance ~

Have been contacting Misako Hiraide （平出　美佐子）, aka LAH, all the while through emails since she returned to Japan. Recently, she passed her Chinese exam and has been accepted into Shanghai University, which curriculum will start next February! *APPLAUSE*

When I received this good news, I was so elated and at the same time, proud of her. :) She had also congratulated me for being 3rd in cohort for Maths.

On the same day Misako's email was sent to me, I was invited by MOE to attend a scholarship tea session. Out of the 4 TPJCians who were invited, I'm the only Singaporean. Hence I took this great opportunity to know more about the PSC Oversea Scholarship offered by MOE. Well enough, I've gained greater insights. This can be considered a turning point in life, which I'm really grateful for that.

Right now, I have a clearer long-term goal/dream in mind.
Hence it's time for a change in attitude, renew determination, fulfill the pledge/promise made, and most importantly, keep the momentum going for greater achievements of the future.

Afterall, the world is our stage "..for I am (we are) here for a higher purpose". ;-)

Today's 16 June 2010. It's a date significant to both JingYuan and myself. Exactly 3 years ago on 16 June 2007, it was our first dance showcase together on the kofu stage during a Future Division Combined Meeting at TSC-MTA.

What's more significant is that on this day - 3 years before - it was my first time having the courage to tell a friend to "Give chanting a try!", and JingYuan agreed immediately. Hence she chanted her first NMHRGK on this day! It marked the beginning of my kosen-rufu journey since then.

The significance of this date crossed my mind when I was doing daimoku and gongyo this morning. I texted JingYuan about it after that. Her reply really touches me and it is thus far the happiest news I've received today. I'm really grateful as I have learnt a lot ... a lot from her. Let's continue to strive for kofu in our daily lives, striving to do the best in our area of interest, and hence creating many more pages of victories for Sensei!

YES, THE WORLD IS NOW OUR STAGE!

We ♥ TPJCCO!

The college Auditorium was not just as still and quiet as usual over the weekend. On Saturday (5 June), it was happening! The air was filled with melodious music. Many music lovers were gathered there. There was this group of members in black, who were anxiously waiting for the stage curtain to be drawn open. They had been training hard every week, for months, went home only late at night when most of the people were already resting on their couch. These group of people was the TPJC Chinese Orchestra members.

"You (TPJCCO) devoted months of practice for just one hour on stage. Music-making in the Chinese Orchestra builds character, confidence, compassion, and community ... Use your (TPJCCO) music to bring joy and exhilaration, hope and consolation to people who hear your music."

The one week before the actual performance, I fell really ill. On MC for days. I received many sms-es and missed calls from friends due to my absence from tutorials/lectures and CCA practices. For the first (and the last) time, I was that sick. My daily routines had been disturbed, could not do anything except lying down and stared at the ceilings and walls. It was terrible. The pain would be multiplied if I could not perform together with my CO comrades on Saturday!

Fortunately, I made it!
The experience during 《翠岭夜韵》 was awesome!

TPJCCO, WE MADE IT, TOGETHER AS ONE FAMILY! :D
